Adorable Slavery – Poet Nazir ft Daniel ThePoet

Poem Title: An Adorable Slavery

Written & Composed By: Daniel ThePoet ft Poet Nazir

Year: 2021

D: I detest to see the tears of my eyes

That flows every day

Not that I cannot rise

But it is tough to stay away.

My degree looks strange

With the sweats I couldn’t arrange

Empty I say I am

Because I have lost the voice

I called my alarm.

I look at myself in identical mirrors

Where I detect measures to blank the errors

I am addled and now a burden

To move from nine to ten.

I have wished to say goodbye

To the love I couldn’t buy

And it is doleful to try that

Not because I am fearful to start

But I’m scared to die.

That, after, the respiration of this union will expire.

P: I wish to quit

But there are footprints of my footstep

That draws me aback to drown

Even when tears tickle down

I scour for a reason to smile.

In the midst of cacophony of voices

I see violence tearing me apart

I look and stare but I say love is just an art

In this state, I feel a breeze of pain inside my heart

Watching me go through the scars of grief of what I embrace.

I rubbish that I dwell in toxicity

A frame of mind that unlocks new adventures

A vicinity I could not boldly admit of peace

An empty society where my heart is tattered into a piece

But also, a serenity I vowed to fees.

I seek freedom from the sweetened slavery

For I have suck taste from its marrow

I have tasted the bitterness of its wrath

And I have witnessed the hell within its paradise

Yet still my heart dwells in its bosom, forever.
